The Curriculum of the Department of Philology of the University of Crete has a duration of eight (8) semesters and leads to the award of a Degree upon the completion of 240 ECTS credits. The program provides academic education in the fields of Classical Philology, Byzantine and Modern Greek Philology, and Linguistics through core, compulsory, and elective courses, seminars, and research-oriented activities. During their studies, students choose one of the Department’s specialization directions, focusing either on Classical Philology, Byzantine and Modern Greek Philology, or Linguistics, acquiring specialized knowledge and research skills in the respective academic fields.
