The Undergraduate Study Program of the Department of Oceanography and Marine Biosciences at the University of the Aegean aims to provide a comprehensive and interdisciplinary education in marine sciences and oceanography. It offers students scientific knowledge for understanding marine processes, ecosystems, and sea–atmosphere–land interactions. It equips graduates with methodological tools for analyzing and addressing environmental issues related to the marine and coastal environment. The program enhances the ability to apply scientific methods in fields such as research, marine resource management, and environmental protection. Its goal is to train scientists capable of contributing meaningfully to the study and sustainable management of the oceans.
