Description
The graduate of the Department of Medical Laboratories must have knowledge on the scientific fields of Hematology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Environmental Microbiology, Physiology, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Blood Donation, Immunology, Histology, Histopathology, Cytology, Virology, Microbiology, Mycology, Parasitology and Laboratory Animals.
The graduate of the Department of Medical Laboratories must have competences with regard to the sampling of biological liquids and excretions, the preparation of histopathological and cytological preparations, the reliability control of the analysis instruments of the biomedical laboratory, while evaluating the results of the laboratory analyses, selecting and applying laboratory protocols, and finally, participating equally to the research work of the laboratory team.
Relation to Employment
The degree is necessary for the laboratory diagnosis of diseases.
