Description
The graduate of the department is called "Graduate of the Department of Library and Information Technology Systems of Technological Education." Upon completion of his studies, the Department's graduate, Library and Information Technology Education, has the knowledge and practical experience to successfully operate either independently or in collaboration with other scientists and technologists in the following fields:
1. study, research and application of modern technology in the creation, organization, operation and administration of libraries, archives and all kinds of informative organizations;
2. creation, organization, operation and management of digital libraries, repositories, electronic files etc.;
3. research on information science;
4. training for the use of any kind of information units and related IT activities;
5. provide information services and create products / information tools.
In these fields, and their respective segments, the Department's graduate will be able to undertake responsibility the following:
i. planning, organization, management and operation of any information organization in a physical or digital environment;
ii. the definition of information science and librarianship objectives;
iii. identify, organize and make information publicly available;
iv. provide information services;
v. design, organize and implement cultural events within the context of the information organization
vi. educate the users of the information organisation;
vii. develop collaborations with other information organizations (physical and electronic) at local, national and international level;
viii. design information systems;
ix developing information tools / products.

The professional rights of graduates of the Department of Library Science and Information Systems are set out in Presidential Decree no.385 (Government Gazette 169, issue first 16.06.1989).
