Description

The Bachelor's Degree in Interior Architecture is offered by the Department of Interior Architecture of the University of West Attica. The programme provides comprehensive education in interior spatial design, architectural and artistic composition, furniture and object design, digital design technologies, the theory and history of architecture and design, and the development of creative and technological approaches to the built environment.

Relation to Employment

Graduates can find employment as interior architects, interior designers and planners, furniture and object designers, design consultants, executives at architectural and engineering firms, construction companies, furniture manufacturers, exhibition and cultural organizations, or as independent professionals, in accordance with the applicable legal framework.

Access Requirements / Progression Opportunities

A high school diploma and successful completion of the Panhellenic or placement exams are required. The degree is awarded upon successful completion of eight semesters and 240 ECTS credits.

Knowledge

Graduates acquire comprehensive knowledge in interior architecture, spatial composition, history and theory of architecture, furniture and object design, materials and construction, lighting, colour, ergonomics, digital design, visualization technologies and contemporary methods of designing the built environment.
 

Skills

Graduates develop skills in architectural composition, interior space design, production of drawings and three-dimensional visualizations, use of modern digital design tools, selection of materials and construction solutions, furniture design, project presentation and design project management.

Competences

Graduates are capable of designing, organizing and implementing integrated interior architecture projects, combining aesthetic, functional, technological and environmental parameters, working independently or within multidisciplinary teams, managing design projects and responding to the contemporary demands of the profession with creativity, professionalism and ethical responsibility.
