Description
The Bachelor's Degree in Regional and Economic Development is offered by the Department of Regional and Economic Development of the School of Applied Economics and Social Sciences at the Agricultural University of Athens. The programme provides comprehensive education in economics with specialization in regional science, regional development, spatial analysis and development policy. Students acquire theoretical and applied knowledge in economics, regional policy, spatial planning, tourism development, economic geography and sustainable development.
Relation to Employment
The program prepares economists for careers in the public and private sectors, in local and regional government, in development agencies, consulting firms, international organizations, tourism businesses, regional development organizations, and public policy planning bodies. Graduates are fully licensed to practice as economists.

Admission to the program requires a Secondary School Leaving Certificate (High School Diploma) and successful participation in national-level examinations.
