Description

Bachelor's Degree in Tourism Management is offered by the Department of Tourism Management of the University of West Attica. The programme provides scientific education in tourism and hospitality management, tourism planning and development, marketing, human resource management, sustainable tourism and the use of digital technologies in tourism. Students acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills through laboratory courses and practical training.

Relation to Employment

Graduates can find employment in tourism businesses, hotels, travel agencies, destination management companies, airlines and ferry companies, tourism promotion organizations, and public or private tourism agencies.

Access Requirements / Progression Opportunities

A high school diploma and successful completion of the Panhellenic or placement exams are required. The degree is awarded upon successful completion of eight semesters and 240 ECTS credits.

The program provides students with comprehensive and specialized knowledge in tourism management, covering the core disciplines of business administration, economics, marketing, tourism policy, hospitality management, entrepreneurship, innovation, sustainable tourism development, and tourism geography. Graduates acquire a strong scientific background in tourism business operations, tourism economics, destination management, strategic planning, human resource management, information systems, and digital technologies supporting the tourism industry. They also develop an understanding of the international, social, economic, and environmental dimensions of tourism, as well as the principles of sustainable tourism development and quality management of tourism services.

They also acquire entrepreneurial, innovation, foreign-language communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills required in the dynamic tourism industry.
