Description
The Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Sustainable Development is offered by the Department of Economics and Sustainable Development of the School of Environment, Geography and Applied Economics at Harokopio University. The programme is interdisciplinary, combining economics, sustainable development, environmental management and education. It provides theoretical background and applied knowledge for analysing economic, social and environmental issues while promoting sustainable development and responsible resource management.

The program prepares graduates for employment in public and private organizations, businesses, local government agencies, environmental management agencies, sustainable development organizations, consulting firms, educational institutions, and research organizations, as well as for continuing their studies at the graduate level.

Admission to the program requires a Secondary School Leaving Certificate (High School Diploma) and successful participation in national-level examinations.

- Graduates are able to apply knowledge in fields such as financial management, consumer behaviour, family studies, sustainable consumption, natural and cultural resource management, nutrition and health, in order to provide guidance that enables individuals to adopt more sustainable lifestyles while promoting personal and family well-being.
