Description
The Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science is offered by the University of the Aegean through the Department of Environment and provides interdisciplinary education in Environmental Science and Management. The curriculum combines knowledge from natural sciences, technology, ecology, environmental policy, and sustainable development. Students become familiar with modern methods for analyzing and managing environmental issues, as well as with tools related to geoinformatics, environmental engineering, and ecosystem assessment. Particular emphasis is placed on research, interdisciplinarity, and the connection between theory and practical application through laboratories, field activities, and practical training.

Access Requirements / Progression Opportunities
Admission to the program requires a Secondary School Leaving Certificate (High School Diploma) and successful participation in national-level examinations or qualifying entrance examinations.

Graduates acquire knowledge related to the functioning of natural and human ecosystems, ecology, environmental chemistry and physics, natural resource management, and environmental policy. Furthermore, they become familiar with issues such as climate change, circular economy, environmental technology, and sustainable development.
