Description
The Bachelor’s Degree in Translation and Interpreting is a higher education qualification in the field of language and intercultural studies. It certifies that graduates possess academic knowledge in translation, interpreting and intercultural communication. The programme combines theoretical knowledge (linguistics, translation theory, culture) with practical training through workshops and applied courses. Students specialise in either Translation or Interpreting after the initial semesters. The degree corresponds to Level 6 of the Hellenic and European Qualifications Frameworks and provides access to postgraduate studies and professional careers.

Graduates of the program are equipped with the formal and practical qualifications needed to work as freelancers or to seek employment in the public or private sector as translators, interpreters, conference interpreters, subtitlers, text editors, specialists in cultural adaptation/content creation, cultural mediators, translation project managers, and heads of translation and terminology teams in companies or agencies.

Knowledge
