The Department aims to develop professionals who understand and interpret social identities, relationships, ideologies, and policies, while supporting decision-making processes and promoting critical thinking within the framework of academic freedom. Special emphasis is placed on encouraging student associations’ scientific activities and fostering outreach to the school, the broader university community, and the public sphere.

Access Requirements / Progression Opportunities

Admission to the program requires a Secondary School Leaving Certificate (High School Diploma) and successful participation in national-level examinations.

Graduates of the Department of Political Science acquire the theoretical and analytical foundation to scientifically understand political phenomena at the local, national, and international levels, as well as the practical tools to collect and evaluate information, process data, develop persuasive arguments, work effectively both individually and in teams, and participate in scientific and professional projects with social and ethical responsibility.

Upon completing their undergraduate studies, graduates of the Department of Political Science are equipped with the necessary tools and methods, drawn from various (quantitative and qualitative) research traditions in political science and related disciplines, which enable them to analyze the relationships of collective and individual actors within the framework of organized society.
