Description

Regarding general competencies, a graduate of the Introductory Direction of Tourism and Hospitality Management will be able, as a professional, to:
• Analyse the macroeconomic and microeconomic environment of the tourism business and use statistical and mathematical models in order to design sustainable tourism policies consistent with the customer needs.
• Organise and manage a tourism business based on the principles of modern management.
• Manage and analyse information data and use marketing to make tourism product more attractive and competitive.

Regarding specific competencies, a graduate of the Introductory Direction of Tourism and Hospitality Management will be able, as a professional, to:
• Design and develop the appropriate type of alternative or non tourism based on the characteristics of the region, according to the customer's needs and tourism law.
• Design and implement tourism development policies and analyse tourism indicators and existing financial trends using financial, accounting and statistical tools.
• Implement total quality management in tourism business and manage crises in tourist or hotel accommodation.
• Design innovative tourism products and develop marketing, always oriented towards consumer needs.

The curriculum of the Introductory Direction of Tourism and Hospitality Management generally ensures the graduates of adequate skills to be able to:
• Use knowledge from various scientific and technological areas to analyse, design and implement tourism policy and development. He/she analyses and understands the business objectives and the data of his/her time that affect the goals of a sustainable tourism development.
• Apply appropriate forms of tourism based on features of geographical areas, customer's needs and consumer demand.
Resolve complex problems of economic and administrative nature in operational units. He/she prevents the appearance of crises on the hotel and tourism units and manages them in the event of their occurrence.
• Collect, analyse data in digital form and communicate to make the tourist product known, to promote and advertise it online using modern marketing strategies.
