Description

Knowledge:
• Possess the effects of digital technology in everyday life and business activity with an emphasis on techno-economic analysis, acceptance and adoption of high technology products and services and influence of socio-economic and demographic factors.
• Have a perception of the evolutionary dynamics of the scientific subject area of Informatics in basic research, and in the areas of Telematics, which are related to network and internet technologies.
• Possess analytical and advanced knowledge of the dynamics of the scientific subject area of Informatics and Telematics, primarily in the field of net-centric information systems and related to these electronic services.
• Possess analytical and advanced knowledge of the dynamics of the scientific subject area of Informatics and Telematics in relation to areas such as e-business, e-learning, e-government, e-transport, e-health.
• Possess knowledge of the fields of digital technology which are related to mobile technologies and communication technologies (Web - Mobile – Telecoms).

Skills:
• Efficiently manage new technologies based on the Internet and the Web to develop complex information systems and support advanced services.
• Evaluate the problems of technology and the challenges of modern times, using appropriate evaluation and analysis tools.
• Intervene with the most modern tools.
• Monitor and judge the effectiveness of the intervention, by shaping appropriate goals.
• Analyse and adapt their knowledge in computer science and telecommunications, and new technologies in general.

Competences:
• Continue to develop with autonomy their knowledge and skills at a higher level.
• Implement professionally specialised knowledge and skills acquired, and deal effectively and in an interdisciplinary manner with the issues raised.
• Combine scientific principles and theories with understanding of market and society problems and needs and improving quality of life.
• Contribute to the development of knowledge and practice in the workplace.
• Autonomously undertake responsibility to educate/train groups of people on IT and telecommunications issues and are able to assess its performance.
• Cooperate within multidisciplinary teams with other scientific disciplines, contributing in IT and telecommunications issues.

Holders of the Bachelor's Degree can work in:
• Enterprises active in e-business, e-government, e-health, Advanced Transport Telematics, e-learning, etc., of any legal form.
