Description
The object of the Postgraduate Programme is Public Economics and Policy. Its main purpose is the postgraduate student education, the provision of expertise, techniques and other tools so that trainees are able to solve problems related to their working area.
Students acquire skills in promoting applications of Public Administration and Public Economics and deepen in the following subjects:
1) Public Economics and Policy
2) Public Governance
3) Management of Public Organizations
4) Methods for Decision Making
5) Resolving of Administrative Disputes
6) Financing of Public Investment
7) Economic Integration-European Institutions.
After completion of the program courses, students have the specialized knowledge and practical experience in order to successfully operate, either independently or in collaboration with other scientists, in the elaboration and implementation of practices related to the Public Sector.
In particular, graduates of the MA course are able to describe economic problems and investigate the financial balances prevailing each time. They can therefore not only name the causes of problems, but also formulate possible solutions in the area of public finances.
By completing the program, they are able to collect information and keep data associated with fiscal problems. Also, construct models of best solutions, managing in this way the knowledge acquired.
Still, having attended courses such as "Evaluation and Personnel Remuneration in the Public Sector" and "Total Quality Management", they are able to cooperate with other institutions, to guide subordinates, recognizing the most appropriate person to solve the problem. Finally, they are able to use all the knowledge-skills to inspire other members of their working space.
