A. Knowledge and Understanding
Upon successful completion of the program students will be able to:
• Gain a systematic and practical understanding of the content of institutions and how they are managed
• Understand the importance of strategic management and complexity of the Greek and international competitive environment
• Develop and implement research and learning skills in academic and organizational level
• Understand and evaluate methods of solving organizational problems
• Recognize and appreciate the ethical dimensions of organizations and the importance of corporate social responsibility
• Understand and evaluate the subject of financial accounting for executives
• Develop deeper critical thinking on issues relating to entrepreneurship and its practical application, at national and global levels
• Recognize the importance of innovation in today's global business environment
• Understand and evaluate supply chain management practices
• Develop deeper knowledge in the areas of Strategic Management, Financial Management and Marketing, depending on personal needs and choices of each student
1. Direction of Strategic Management:
• Understanding of fundamental actions and practices in change management
• Understanding of contemporary issues and developments in human resources management and its relationship with strategy
• Understanding of the modern theory of strategic management and analytical tools needed to solve strategic problems
• Understanding of business planning processes supported by corresponding informative policies, to address the increased uncertainty of the modern business environment
• Understanding of the concept of leadership in an international content and investigation of the importance of the working group within an organization
• Evaluation and implementation of performance measurement systems as operational tools to administrative and strategic decisions
2. Direction of Financial Management:
• Development of appropriate skills and knowledge for the application of appropriate concepts, techniques and methods for effective decision-making in financial management
• Acquisition of knowledge on the most important concepts of management accounting
• Understanding of the application of international financial and accounting standards and evaluation of short- and long-term effects on financial performance
• Application in practice of financial models using Excel
• Acquisition of skills to combine and apply financial theory to information systems
• Understanding of enterprise resource IT systems (ERP) to find and use business information
3. Direction of Marketing:
• Examination of the administrative mechanisms and various organizational processes related to the international activities of the enterprise
• Development of strategic thinking and leadership and management skills, related to the marketing planning of a business
• Understanding and evaluation of the principles of consumer behaviour
• Analysis of the object and the basic models of industrial marketing in the domestic and international market
• Understanding of the operation of marketing in the field of services
• Understanding of the impact of internet and, more generally, of new communication and information technologies in the respective company marketing strategies and tactics
B. Mental abilities
Upon successful completion of the program students will be able to:
• Develop a critical understanding of the complexity of the science of business administration and analyse complex, incomplete or conflicting subjects
• Understand the theoretical and philosophical bases of academic research
• Develop solutions to problems through creative and innovative way of information synthesis
• Estimate and evaluate the nature of the complexity of international business environment
• Appreciate the importance of the strategic approach in taking operational decisions
