Description
Following the completion of their studies, the learners (a) will have acquired and assimilated the theoretical and practical information related to the operation of the natural ecosystems and shall be capable of analytically explaining the principles concerning the Management of Forests and of the Natural Environment (KNOWLEDGE), (b) shall be able to analyse, estimate and delve into, expand and increase such knowledge and be aware of the evolutionary dynamic of the cognitive fields of Forestry (SKILLS), c) shall be able to design, organize, and apply the knowledge and skills acquired on practical issues concerning the implementation of the principles of Forestry and Management of the Natural Environment, both in the Private and in the Public Sector (COMPETENCES). The learner, following the completion of the educational procedure shall be aware of, understand, and shall be capable of implementing techniques for the construction of forestry technical projects, make use of Information Technology and Geographical Information Systems, apply the principles of ecology, management, and protection of the natural environment, and organize the production, management and utilization of forest resources.
Relation to Employment
The degree in Forestry and Management of Natural Environment of Technological Education is necessary to work as a Forester (or Forester Technologist).
