Description

The anticipated learning outcomes of the undergraduate programme of studies for the Bachelor Degree in the Department of Primary Education of the University of West Macedonia for the candidate educator are the following:
Knowledge: have advanced knowledge on a field of work or study, which include the critical understanding of theories and principles.
Skills: hold advanced skills or the ability of proving the necessary mastery and innovation for the resolution of composite and random problems in the field of Education Sciences.
Competences: they are able to manage composite technical or professional activities or work plans, undertaking the responsibility for taking decisions in unforeseen work or study environments of the field of Education Sciences. In addition, to reflect on their role and undertake the responsibility for the management of the professional development of individuals and groups. Specifically:
- have the theoretical background of Education Sciences;
- have specialized knowledge on applied teaching and research;
- use the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge for their scientific and professional career and development;
- apply pedagogical knowledge for the advancement of the learning procedure and for upgrading the educational level;
- manage and resolve general and specific pedagogic issues;
- contribute to the treatment of the need for continuous education and learning for a nation.

Relation to Employment

One of the necessary diplomas for the conduct of the profession of primary education educator (Primary Education 70) either in the private or in the public field.
