Knowledge: The doctors acquire specialized knowledge on the cognitive domain of their doctorate dissertation, which constitutes the basis for original thinking, for the critical understanding of theories, methodologies, and scientific issues, and for research and professional activity. In addition, they acquire wider knowledge with regard to the interconnection of the various subjects of their dissertation with other cognitive domains.
Skills: The doctors acquire the skill to apply easily the theories and methodologies of the subject of their doctorate, apply with originality the knowledge acquired and formulate with clarity, sufficiency, and accuracy solutions for various issues, depending on the context thereof. Moreover, they acquire skills for documenting their views and positions, both for specialized audience and laymen.
Competences: The doctors have acquired a high level of specialized competences, which they can apply to issues related to their doctorate. They are capable of undertaking autonomously the education / further learning / teaching of individuals and their evaluation. In addition, they acquire competences through which they are capable of contributing significantly to the development of the scientific and professional field.
Relation to Employment
The doctors of the Department are capable of working either as self-employed, or in positions of responsibility in businesses and organisations in the private or public sector.
