Knowledge:
Following the completion of studies, the learners are expected to:
(a) Direction: Computer Systems and Network Technologies
- Know and understand the cognitive domains related to technologies of networked computer systems, from the operating system and the database administration system to the application software, networking, and the proper practices for the implementation of large-scaled information projects.
(b) Direction: Computational Methods and Applications
- Know and understand the cognitive domains related to the resolution of composite computational problems, using abstract models (mathematics, data structures, and algorithms) which are then implemented as software that is inserted in the core of integrated computer systems.
(c) Direction: Business Computing
- Know and understand the cognitive domains related to the pairing of Informatics, Business Administration and Economics, formulating the identity of the modern executive who meets the requirements both of businesses, and of public administration in the Greek and international field.
(d) Direction: E-Business and Innovation Technology
- Know and understand the cognitive domains of the technologies of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and of IT systems, both for the practices of electronic / mobile businesses and of social media for the successful developments of digital start-ups or the transformation of existing businesses.
Skills:
Following the completion of studies, the learners are expected to:
(a) Direction: Computer Systems and Network Technologies
- Develop software that addresses the current and future Information Technology developments.
(b) Direction: Computational Methods and Applications
- Model and resolve a wide range of computational problems faced by production and the economy.
- Develop innovative products and software, comprising an integral member of larger groups of research and development.
(c) Direction: Business Computing
- Address the needs of businesses and of public administration in the Greek and international domain.
(d) Direction: E-Business and Innovation Technology
- Apply innovative technologies and systems.
- Design their own electronic business activity.
- Use e-commerce technologies, innovative IT systems, internet marketing and social media marketing, along with technologies for the measurement and analysis of ICT effectiveness.
Competences:
Following the completion of studies, the learners are expected to:
- Prepare and present technical studies in the field of their studies.
- Establish their own ICT businesses or work as executives in positions requiring excellent knowledge of the technological developments, or in technical departments of IT companies or in research and technology departments for the development of IT companies.
