Description
The graduates of the Postgraduate Studies Programme titled "Children's Book and Educational Material" acquire the following scientific knowledge, skills, and competences:
KNOWLEDGE
- Regarding the research and study of the field of children literature and generally of children's book (literature books for children and teenagers, picture books, illustrated books, comics, magazine - printed matter, and literature general knowledge book).
- New perceptions on literature.
- The theories of literature reading, literature, and children literature.
- The interdisciplinary theory that combines philological, cultural, and pedagogical approaches.
SKILLS
- New teaching methods.
- New points of view and new tools for the development of educational and pedagogical material with the purpose of game, energetic, creative, and cross-thematic learning, along with interdisciplinary approach.
- For future doctorate studies, and for teaching in the emerging digital environment.
COMPETENCES
- In the design and implementation of educational and pedagogical material (educational games and multimedia for language, natural sciences, mathematics, and art) at every level and sector of education.
Relation to Employment
The graduates of the Postgraduate Studies Programme may work for the use of extracurricular book in school, the cultivation of reading habits, the design of production and the utilisation of older and newer types of pedagogical material, as well as for the uneventful coexistence between the book - printed material and new technologies and the interdisciplinary approach of knowledge in education.
