The University of Ioannina is one of Greece’s leading public universities, with a strong focus on research and education. It comprises a total of 11 schools, consisting of 26 departments covering a wide range of academic fields, from the humanities and social sciences to the natural sciences, health, economics, and technology. It also operates numerous laboratories, research units, and academic structures that support the departments’ educational and research activities. The University of Ioannina offers undergraduate and graduate programs in many academic disciplines, as well as doctoral programs that promote scientific research and specialization. At the same time, the institution develops partnerships with Greek and international universities and research centers to carry out joint research projects and supervise doctoral dissertations.
